AngersThis is a town of artistic, architectural and historic interest in which the mediaeval timbered houses hold their own when compared with the grandeur of the historic monuments Château d'Angers
such as the impressive mediaeval fortress standing guard at the entrance to the town. It bears all the weight of history on its shoulders and, behind its massive towers, it is home to the Apocalypse Tapestry, a masterpiece of embroidery.
